Quality Manager


Summary:

The Manager & Head of Quality plans, coordinates, and directs quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:

  • Management Representative according to IATF16949 requirements, including representing the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing IATF16949 requirements.
  • Ensures that a quality system is established, implemented, and maintained according to the IATF16949 standard.
  • Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
  • Reports on the performance of the quality system to general management for review and as a basis for improvement of the quality system.
  • Acts as a change agent within the facility. Facilitates improvements in processes.
  • Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
  • Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with operations management to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
  • Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
  • Investigates and addresses customer complaints regarding quality.

SUPERVISORY
Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 4 - 8 employees in the Quality Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
  • 2-3 years experience as a Quality Mgt. and 5-8 years overall quality experience, preferable some exp. in automotive
  • Experience with quality systems- APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA.
  • Customer portal experience and string problem-solving skills.
  • Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram for, and deal with abstract / concrete variables.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
